Two new Supervisory Board Members at Smart Commerce

Jena, 1st April, 2014: Two new supervisory board members were elected in general shareholders' meeting

• Henry Göttler new supervisory board member of Smart Commerce (100%)
• Horst Behrendt new supervisory board member as employees' representativ (100%)
• No April Fools' joke

During the general shareholders' meeting on Tuesday, April 1^st, Henry Göttler and Horst Behrendt were elected to the supervisory board and will henceforth support the company and the chairman of the supervisory board Friedhelm Bischofs.

Henry Göttler has many years of management experience in the eCommerce sector and is a recognized expert in this field. After 9 years of service at Hewlett Packard, he worked 12 years at Intershop from 2001 to 2013. He started his career as head of international customer support. After various other management positions, he was appointed to the executive board, where he was responsible for the development and full-service department and contributed substantially to the financial and business success of the company. From 2013 on, he worked as an executive board member at Saperion AG, an enterprise content management software company and since 2014 as an executive board member at SNP AG. Henry Göttler was elected with 100% of the votes.

Horst Behrendt was elected as employee representative with 100% of the votes to the supervisory board. Smart Commerce is a self-determining company, in which all employees are shareholders and co-creators. Mr. Behrendt is now representing the staff in major corporate decisions. He had previously been nominated and elected by the employees for this position. As an eCommerce developer and architect with over 20 years of IT experience, more than 15 years of them in eCommerce and logistics, he has acquired a comprehensive practical knowhow in many international projects at Siemens, DHL, Vobis, Intershop and since 2012 at Smart Commerce. His wide range of work experience and his strong support from staff are the basis for this new role in the supervisory board.

"I'm also sure that the stuff representative Mr. Behrendt has the necessary practical skills of eCommerce projects and will contribute expertise. He will advice the executive management board and will help them in eCommerce technical choices."
