At the sixth Annual General Meeting of Smart Commerce SE held in Jena Landgrafen on April 26, 2018, the Management Board reported on the business development and financial results for 2017 as well as its growth strategy for 2020 and gave an outlook for the current year 2018.In 2017 hatten Smart Commerce und SAP einen Partnerschaftsvertrag unterzeichnet, um dem Mittelstand mit seinen besonderen Anforderungen Zugang zum High-end eCommerce System SAP Hybris Commerce zu ermöglichen. Der Fokus der Partnerschaft liegt auf der schnellen und kostengünstigen Implementierung von SAP Hybris Commerce bei Mittelstandskunden.
Investments were made in know-how for this second eCommerce platform, alongside Intershop. The successful merger with the SAP Hybris expert niin from Leipzig was the crowning achievement at the end of 2017. At the beginning of 2018, Smart Commerce already supported 3 SAP Hybris customers.
The encouraging expansion of the cooperation with fischerwerken in the Sitecore and FACT-Finder fields, which began in 2016, led to the world's first integration of Sitecore® FACT-Finder®. Several frontends, such as the fischer website based on Sitecore, Dübelfinder Apps or a dealer portal, can access a central FACT-Finder-based catalogue search backend.
The outlook for the current 2018 financial year was also extremely positive, with profitable growth of 77% planned. "We have a lot of plans and, based on the results of the last few years and our strategic partnerships, we also have the means and opportunities to implement our goals and significantly expand our business segment," said CEO Dr. Ludger Vogt.
The number of new hires of experts with extensive project, CMS and eCommerce experience in 2017 was particularly encouraging. However, Smart Commerce is still looking for employees with in-depth CMS and eCommerce experience (Intershop, Hybris, Sitecore), as the number of projects with strategic customers is on a significant growth path in 2018.
The actions of the Management Board and Supervisory Board were unanimously approved at the Annual General Meeting. In addition, the Supervisory Board was completely re-elected. The Supervisory Board members Friedhelm Bischofs, Henry Göttler and Matthias Schneider were re-elected.
The Annual General Meeting followed the preselection for the employee representative on the Supervisory Board, Mr Matthias Kallfass, and elected Mr Kallfass to the Supervisory Board.
