From the MVP phase to a scalable solution

Fibro was looking for a way to digitally map the more than 23.8 trillion possible products and their variants. Added to this was the high degree of configuration of many of these products.

After the successful MVP rollout with Spryker, the next task was to further develop the project in a structured manner. The aim was to create a digital shopping experience that would do justice to the diversity and complexity of the FIBRO product range - available worldwide, adapted to the respective country requirements and seamlessly integrated from a technical perspective. The focus was on both user-friendliness and the connection to existing systems and processes.

Our solution

Smart Commerce has created a system for FIBRO that reduces complexity and maximizes user-friendliness:

  • Localized stores per country, each with its own product catalog
  • Integration of an external configurator (Cadenas) for selecting highly varied products - including 2D/3D visualizations
  • Single sign-on via Azure Active Directory for seamless access
  • CRM connection to D365 for end-to-end synchronization of customer documents
  • Live prices and availability, individually per customer
  • Integration into an existing tech setup with PSIPENTA (ERP) and XS Solution (PIM)

The result

The new system offers customers worldwide a targeted and user-friendly shopping experience. Products can be individually configured and visualized directly in the store. Information is available immediately - at any time and without media discontinuity. For FIBRO, this results in a more efficient sales process with consistent data logic. At the same time, a flexible platform is created that meets international requirements and can be easily adapted to future developments and digital business models.
