Application Management of the Shop-Systems in the Cloud
The multi-country online shops of Calumet Photographic were realized on the basis of the Intershop Commerce Suite 7.2 and they are operated in the Amazon Cloud (AWS). In the course of relocating IT responsibility to Germany, they opted for the leading Amazon Cloud, which allows highly-flexible scaling as well as horizontal and vertical cloud infrastructure services.
Smart Commerce was commissioned with the application management of the shop system in the cloud. The aim was to maximize the automation of application management. In both automation and monitoring, current technology is used to ensure maximum transparency for the customer.

“We are glad about the confidence shown to us. During the go live of the Calumet sites, Intershop 7.2 was not optimized for the use in cloud environments. Several optimizations and tests needed to be conducted and experiences needed to be gained.
