The company BAUR Versand has realized several projects with Smart Commerce. The initial platform selection was based on the proven Forrester Research structure and terminology for the requirements catalog, decision criteria, weighting, and scoring matrix. The procedure was based on the "Methodology for Tendering and Evaluation of IT Services of the Federal Ministry of the Interior" (UFAB V). The assessment of the individual e-commerce platform providers yielded specific value points, which, in combination with the separately determined total costs of ownership, yielded the key figure Z as a cost-benefit ratio. The customer benefit of this project was an objective, transparent and comprehensible assessment of the e-commerce platform alternatives and identification of the most economical alternative.
