The core business of the Smart Migration Factory is migration to new software versions, e.g. from an Enfinity Suite 6 or Intershop 7.x legacy version to the latest Intershop release.

The actual migration comprises two parts:

1. Data migration and upgrade of the import function
2. Design migration

Data migration is automatic for product images, account data, orders, web texts and CMS content and is supported by a migration of the import function for the import of products and inventory.

The design migration creates the customer-specific new templates based on the existing design (or a relaunch web design specification) and migrates both the shopping cart process based on the existing process and the existing URLs (301 redirect implementation for old URLs) so that these can be used in an SEO-compliant manner. Existing customer-specific adjustments are analyzed and migrated separately in a second step. In this way, new functions are optimally developed and implemented.
