Smart Commerce supports Procato during go live of a new eCommerce platform

Since November 2014, Smart Commerce has been supporting the launch of the Procato eCommerce platform, which started at the beginning of 2012 and went live at the beginning of Q3/2015. Until now, Smart Commerce has been involved in the analysis, controlling and consulting of the whole project implementation that started with a detailed examination of the requirements documents and continued with specific project audits during which risks were uncovered and the project status was regularly followed and communicated. The final writing and testing of test cases completed Smart Commerce´s support.

Following the go live, Smart Commerce will now be responsible for the technical project management of the further development of the platform. 

The go live of the Procato platform completed a joint project of leading brand manufacturers in the craftsman industry which meets the growing online demand of professional tools and involves brick-and-mortar stores, where orders can also be picked up directly, with a three step distribution channel “MANUFACTURER – PLATFORM – SPECIALIST SUPPLIER”. The constantly growing participation in the platform of currently more than 20 well-known brand manufacturers including Bosch, Fein, Festool, Fischer, Gedore, Kärcher, Wiha and many more offers all craftsmen and ambitious home improver not only a broad range but also an extensive product mix width thanks to the availability of the complete product range of premium manufacturers which are enriched by detailed information and professional pictures and videos of the product.
