Jena, New Company Celebrates Profitability in its First Fiscal Year

• EBIT positive in first fiscal year 2012
• New company finishes setup activities
• Focus on ramp-up of operational business

Smart Commerce SE, provider of complete services for the planning, building and running of eCommerce platforms, announces preliminary earnings concerning the fiscal year 2012. Founded only in May 2012 by ex-Intershopper Ludger Vogt the company achieved already in this shortened fiscal year (May 2012 until December 2012) a positive EBIT margin in spite of serious founding cost.

Update: After final calculation of the financial results concerning the fiscal year 2012 the company achieved a final EBIT margin of 21,7%.

After its foundation in 2012 the company has finished set-up of a very scalable infrastructure. In addition, first projects have been executed.

"2012 has been the first fiscal year for Smart Commerce; we are proud that it has been profitable already. In 2013 and the following years Smart Commerce will continue with it’s profitable growth", says the chief executive officer Dr. Ludger Vogt.

In 2013 the focus now turns from set-up to ramp up: strong growth in new projects and new hires with enthusiasm and passion striving for excellence

In addition to this, Smart Commerce starts a first research and development project "rapid eCommerce solutions" together with partners.
