Our employees are co-entrepreneurs. Smart Commerce belongs to us, to you, to your colleagues. We share responsibility and success. Material profit-sharing in the form of dividends or distributions to silent partners is a transparent and extremely attractive capital investment. Co-determination up to the highest corporate level.

Our employees also have an intangible stake in Smart Commerce.  At the operational level, we jointly design and decide on new offices, new technology, guidelines, processes and regulations; at the strategic level, we elect our representatives to the Supervisory Board; and at the shareholder level, we decide on changes to the company's Articles of Association, capital increases or our employee share programme at general meetings.

Flexible working hours, lifetime working time account and home office option.

Our flexible working hours and lifetime working time accounts enable a high degree of compatibility between family and career. Through lifetime working time accounts, we have the possibility to save money or working time in advance for future paid care or parental leave, a sabbatical or early retirement. Many colleagues outside our offices in Jena, Stuttgart and Leipzig already appreciate the opportunity to work from their home office by arrangement. But even those of us who work regularly in the office are happy to be able to switch to mobile work flexibly and unbureaucratically.

Good Pay

Our pay is performance-oriented and market-competitive, as we expect a commitment to the Smart Way and above-average motivation and dedication from our fellow entrepreneurs. Pay is dependent on job level (JL): entry after graduation is as a Junior Consultant (JL2), promotion is typically to Consultant (JL3) after 2 years and typically to Senior Consultant (JL4) after 5 years, depending on skills and performance.

E-programme – sustainable staff development.

Our staff members have developed a unique excellence programme (E-programme for short) that promotes individual career development and accelerates it in a targeted manner. Core elements are a well-defined role system, a structuring of skills into 4 dimensions and 12 competence fields, the individual employee:in scorecard, an accelerated skill building ("know – use – refine – push"), and the recognition of the transfer of know-how ("push"). You don't know which measure to choose from the many possibilities? We have also compiled a database of potential PE measures that you can use for orientation, and your manager and team colleagues will be happy to advise you on sensible programmes.

Consistent recognition of achievements, contributions and successes.

Our employees perform in the following areas, among others: In paid work for our customers, in internal knowledge transfer and in sales activities. These services are recognised and remunerated according to specific areas, e.g. according to billable workload, as commission on turnover or incoming orders, or in the form of knowledge transfer points. Every performance is consistently recognised.
